InkTec Co., Ltd., a premier manufacturer in ink technology for inkjet printers, was founded in 1992 by Dr. Kwang-Choon Chung. He has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from KAIST. KAIST stands for Korea Advanced Institute of Science of Technology and is the most renowned institute of science and technology in Korea. Dr. Chung, president and CEO of InkTec, personally holds numbers of patents in ink technology.

Jang Young Shil is the pre-eminent Korean scientist who invented the world's first digital water clock (Cha Kweok Rhu) in the year 1433.
